History

In 1982, Charles K. Montecino CPA founded a family-owned accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll services business in South Jersey. He left the business for four years to join a company but missed leading his own firm. After a brief time in Pitman, NJ, he restarted the company, and Charles K. Montecino CPA’s returned to its first location at 429 Woodbury-Glassboro Road in Sewell, NJ.

In the fall of 2003, Charles Montecino’s daughter Meggan Ciaccia joined the firm as a Staff Accountant. After becoming licensed in 2013, she was promoted to Partner in 2014. Upon Charles’ retirement on June 30, 2021, Meggan became the new owner and changed the firm’s name to Ciaccia CPA.

Herstory

Meggan Ciaccia, CPA, is a distinguished professional with over two decades of expertise in diversified accounting, taxation, and advisory services. As the Shareholder of Ciaccia CPA, Meggan has dedicated her career to assisting a wide range of clients, fostering financial growth, and helping them achieve their desired lifestyles.

 As a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist, Meggan can assist clients who have received a letter from the IRS, owe back taxes, or need to file delinquent taxes. In addition to being a licensed New Jersey CPA, she is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Meggan is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, and the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers.

Meggan’s commitment to excellence extends beyond her professional endeavors. She served as the President of South Jersey NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), where her exceptional leadership earned her the prestigious title of Women Business Owner of the Year in 2022. As a second-generation business owner, Meggan embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship and remains a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. She also plays a vital role in the NJ CPA Scholarship Committee, further emphasizing her dedication to supporting the next generation of professionals in the field.

In addition to her impressive achievements, Meggan has actively championed the advancement of women in the workplace by assembling and leading a team of talented women professionals at Ciaccia CPA. Through her mentorship and commitment to creating a supportive work environment, she has empowered her team to thrive and contribute their unique skills to the firm’s success.

A native of South Jersey, Meggan’s personal life is equally fulfilling. She met her husband, John, on a blind date in 2004, and the couple married in 2005. They chose to build their family in National Park, NJ, raising two sons, Joe and Logan. In her leisure time, Meggan finds joy in stand-up paddleboarding in Wildwood, indulging in her love for reading, and maintaining an active lifestyle through her garage gym.

Meggan’s heart revolves around family, and she finds joy in moments spent together with her family. Whether it’s witnessing her younger son express his musical talents through percussion and guitar or seeing her older son embrace his newfound passion for golf and fitness, Meggan takes pride in these shared experiences. Her life is a testament to the harmonious balance she strikes between professional excellence, community service, and the joys of family life.
